In Memory of
Mary Jane Hicks
May 18, 1915 - May 18, 2006

The Allen Theatre family mourns the passing and celebrates the life of Mary Jane Hicks, who died on her 91st birthday, May 18, 2006, at the Hershey Medical Center. Without her support and love, the Allen would still be an unrealized dream.

Mary Jane (or "MJ") was the full benefactor and treasurer of the Allen Theatre and MJ's Coffeehouse, which was named in her honor. She was elated at its success and was especially thrilled to see how extensively the theatre reaches out to the community, and, in turn, how the community embraces the theatre. Patrons could often see her selling tickets at the box office. Beyond the Allen Theatre and MJ's Coffeehouse, Mrs. Hicks was a most generous benefactor to numerous individuals and organizations both locally and nationally.

Mrs. Hicks was a life-long resident of Lebanon, PA. For many years she was an integral volunteer for the Salvation Army as well as many other service organizations. Mary Jane loved all holiday family gatherings and especially looked forward to the patriotic celebrations.

Her husband, the late Allen J. Hicks, died in 1981.

We miss you, Mary Jane.
